Material Settings:

Recommended laser parameters for commonly used substrates

When laser engraved, different materials require different speed, power, and frequency settings. For example, glass will not engrave the same way as acrylic using the same settings. Anodized aluminum requires far less power than wood. Additionally, different laser models and wattages require different settings depending on the material being engraved. Epilog has compiled a list of recommended settings for popular laser engraving and cutting materials, which will give you a starting point when experimenting with different products and substrates.
