How does an Epilog Laser machine work?

Laser machines work similarly to office printers, so the process is simple. Cutting and engraving with an Epilog is as easy as following these three steps: select your design and print, configure the laser for your material with speed and power settings, and push GO to laser it!

Designs and Artwork

Create a design of your own in virtually any vector graphic design program,such as Adobe Illustrator®, CorelDRAW®, and Inkscape, use one of our numerous laser Sample Club graphics, or download and import any image you want to engrave from a stock illustration and photography website.

Laser Setup

Send your design to the laser machine as if you were printing a file. With the help of the Epilog Laser Software Suite or print driver, determine the laser parameters you want to use (such as the speed and power) or select the default material settings from the extensive Epilog Laser database.

Laser Engrave It

Select your file at the laser control panel, load your engraving material in the machine, shut the door, and press GO. The laser engraver will do the rest!

Easily position the items or objects to be etched by the laser. Use the upper left corner as the starting position to place your parts or materials, or easily move the laser head and starting position to the place where the object is to be engraved or cut.
