Laser Engraving Promotional Products

Why use a laser for marking promotional products?

Laser engraving is a popular method for personalizing and customizing promotional products because of its precision and durability.

Epilog Laser machines are extremely versatile. The machines  work with a variety of materials like wood, acrylic, metals, leather, cork, rubber, denim, glass, and more. Epilog Laser systems come in a variety of sizes, from 12” x 24” desktop models to larger-format systems with 48” x 36” engraving tables. This means you can load up your table with smaller items and engrave them all at once, or tackle one-off pieces with all of our systems.

To maximize production, Epilog’s lasers can engrave at speeds up to 165 inches per second.

What features and accessories can help you engrave custom promotional products?

All Epilog models have the IRIS™ Camera System, which shows a live image of the engraving table. This means you can quickly and accurately position your artwork on even the most uniquely shaped items. This feature saves time and hassle as it greatly reduces material waste and having to re-run jobs.

A rotary attachment is crucial for marking cylindrical items such as wine glasses and tumblers. This is an incredibly valuable tool for personalizing promotional products. Place your item securely on the rotary attachment device and it rotates as the laser fires, allowing you to engrave around your entire piece.

Once you have your job running as desired, you can save it locally on the machine. This feature allows you to save time when producing many of the same promotional products. You can set the job up one time and then just refill the engraving table with new items without having to set up the artwork and settings.

Another valuable accessory is a 4-inch lens. Our standard lens is great for daily tasks, while the 4-inch lens produces a focused beam that reaches further vertically. This beam can cut through thick materials over a greater distance vertically. It makes marking multiple cylindrical items easier, without having to use the rotary attachment. If you want to see how this process works, check out this video on engraving multiple tumblers with the 4-inch lens.
