Technical Library: Setting "Hairline" as your default line width in CorelDRAW X4
In order for Epilog systems to perform cutting tasks, the line width must be set to "hairline. Many times engravers simply forget to select "hairline" as their line width and wind up engraving lines that are suppose to be cut.
Here we show you how to select "hairline" as your default line width so you can rest assured your design will cut and engrave in all the right places.
1.
The first step is to set the default value for your line width and color when drawing graphic objects.
To do this, click on the Outline Tool, then the "Outline Pen" dialog in the fly out.
2.
Make sure “Graphic” is the only option selected. Then click "OK."
3.
Click the down arrow in the “Width” drop down box to expand the list and click “Hairline”.
Click “OK" to close the Outline Pen dialog box.
4.
You've now set your line width to hairline.
5.
To make make these your default settings, select Tools and then click "Save settings as default."
