Sample Club: Laser Cut Witch Decoration

This multi-layer witch decoration is a fun addition to your holiday product line. By breaking apart layers in basic clip art, you can cut different pieces and assemble them to create a decoration that has depth and dimension. Why stop at Halloween? The same concept can be used to create decorations for any holiday.

This file can be resized as necessary so you can create a witch decoration as large or small as you like!

Materials:

  • 24" x 24" press board, 1/8" thick
  • Paint
  • Wood glue

Files:
Right click the files below and choose "Save target as." Open the file in CorelDraw 8 or later.

Follow the steps below to create the decoration. You will need to refer to your owner's manual to help determine your correct speed and power settings. We used a 75-watt Legend 36EXT with the following settings:

Speed: 15%
Power: 65%

Since it is comprised of many different wood remnants, press board can sometimes require two passes to fully cut.

Begin by placing the sheet of press board into the laser.

Open the file, determine your speed and power settings, and then send the job to the laser.

Remove the pieces and spray paint accordingly.

Glue the pieces together as illustrated in the design and you're all set!
