Using colored felt, you can create decorative gift bag appliqués quickly and easily with an Epilog laser system. Below you'll find the necessary files and instructions that we created for the Felt Snowman Bag Appliqué.

Materials:
1 sheet of 9" x 12" black felt (you can find felt sheets at most craft stores)
1 sheet of 9" x 12" blue felt
1 sheet of 9" x 12" green felt
1 sheet of 9" x 12" orange felt
1 sheet of 9" x 12" red felt
1 sheet of 9" x 12" white felt
1 sheet of 9" x 12" yellow felt
A 8" x 10" blue paper gift bag
Hot glue gun
Files: Right click on the files below and choose "Save target as." Open the file in CorelDraw 8 or later. Please note all files are Vector only.
This Felt Snowman Bag Appliqué was created using a 35 watt Mini 18 system.
Note:All speed, power and frequency settings below are to be used only as a guide for cutting felt. Your system settings may vary.
Start by placing the black felt sheet into the laser system. Be sure to smooth the felt out so that the entire sheet is lying flat on the vector cutting grid. Open the snowman_black.cdr file and send it to the laser (vector mode only) with settings of 40% speed, 10% power and frequency 3000.
Repeat this step for each colored sheet of felt. Note: Each file name corresponds to the color of felt the file is to be cut from, and contains cut outs for both sides of the bag.

Once you have finished cutting all of the felt pieces from each colored felt sheet, you are ready to begin assembling the Felt Snowman Bag Appliqué.
Use your hot glue gun, snowman_guide.cdr file and the photos below and to the right to begin gluing on the various felt pieces of your bag appliqué.
