Follow the steps below to create the ornaments. You will need to refer to your owner's manual to help determine your correct speed and power settings. We used a 40-watt Zing 24 with the following settings:

Glitter Foam Ornaments:
Speed: 45%
Power: 15%
Frequency: 500

Wooden Ornaments:
Speed: 70%
Power: 50%
Frequency: 500
Paper Ornaments:
Speed:
80
Power: 15%
Frequency: 500

Before you get started, there are a few tips to help complete the project successfully.

1. For the glitter snowflakes, remove the adhesive from the back of two pieces and stick them together, back to back. You can use the same colors or use two different colors for a two-tone effect.

2. For the paper snowflakes, adhere two pieces of paper back to back with strips of double-stick tape to ensure the same paper design is visible from all angles of the ornament.

First, determine which snowflake you'd like to create first. Open the appropriate file and send it to the laser with the recommended settings for your system. The glitter ornaments will be the only ones that do not require any further assembly after they've been cut.

After the job is complete, you will have all the necessary pieces to assemble the ornament.

For paper ornaments, remove the components and slide the corresponding pieces together - this makes the snowflakes three dimensional. One side will have a hole for the ornament hook and the other will not, as indicated by the image to the right. These steps can be applied to both the smaller and larger paper ornaments.

When you're done cutting the design for the wooden snowflakes, you'll have several different pieces.

Use the piece with the hole for the ornament hook as your base. Then take the contrasting piece and adhere it to the first, as indicated by the image to your right.
