To start, we'll use the laser's Center-Center engraving feature to place our image. Determine the center of the back of the ornament and mark it with a small dot with a pen.
Place the ornament in the engraver, mirror-side down. Turn on the red dot pointer and move your home position to the center of the ornament as pictured in Image 1.
Open the file sc_ornaments.cdr and select the first ornament to engrave. Red outlines indicated which design goes on which ornament - delete those outlines prior to engraving. Make sure your text is mirrored (reversed) to read correctly from the front.
Send the job to the laser, making sure to check "selection" in the print driver - this will ensure only the selected graphics engrave, not the entire page.
In the Laser Dashboard, select the center-center engraving option.
On a 45-watt Helix, we used the following settings (adjust these for your wattage of laser): RASTER SPEED: 45% RASTER POWER: 100% Resolution: 600 DPI
