We purchased the keychain for this sample at http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com, a seller of engraveable leather products. This key chain you can buy either as a single piece or in a set of 12. The set includes pre-cut, pre-punched leather fobs, split key rings, rivets, tooling patterns and instructions. The rivet setter is sold separately.

To the right you can see the file opened in CorelDraw. You can use the photos and change the text from www.epiloglaser.com to a name or company. The key chain was created upside down to make is easy to line up on the engraving table. You can also create a template to place the leather key chains in so you can easily engrave an entire table full of key chains at one time.

When you have engraved the key chain, put the female end of the rivet in the pre-punched hole of the key chain that is closer to the engraving, and the male end of the rivet in the other hole. Place the ring between the two rivets and connect the rivets together. Put the rivet setter on the front rivet and hammer it lightly until set. You're done! |
