This beautiful engraved glass centerpiece adds style and sophistication to any holiday setting.
The design includes a wreath of leaves and holly of varying greyscales to create depth and contrast. This vector based design can be resized to fit any dimensions and can be further customized with a family name or favorite holiday quote.
Here we'll walk you through the steps to create this stunning centerpiece.
You'll need:
Beveled glass candle holder/centerpiece (square) - ours was 13" x 13" and we purchased it from Hobby Lobby.
Files: Right click the file below and choose "Save target as." Open the file in CorelDraw 8 or later.
The Epilog system used for this project was a 50-watt Helix.
First, insert the glass plate in the upper left corner
of the machine. Make sure to turn it upside down because we'll be doing the engraving on the back
side of the plate.
Depending on the size of your plate and whether or not you will add a name or quote, you may need to resize the artwork accordingly.
Once you do so, draw a vector box around the final design and send ONLY that portion to the laser. Make sure the red dot pointer is on and keep the lid open!
Once you're satisfied with the location of your design, remove the vector box and send the engraving job to the laser. Once complete you have a stunning centerpiece for this holiday season!
