Sample Club: Laser Cut Halloween Party Invitations

Halloween is right around the corner and these laser cut invitations are a great way to let everyone know about your upcoming celebration.

Using white-core card stock and foam, we'll show you
how to create these fun and festive invitations. Perfect
for kid's parties or adult gatherings, these invites will get your guests in the mood for fun!

You'll need:

White-core Cardstock - available at most craft/scrapbooking stores.
Orange & black Foamies Sticky Sheets - available
at craft/scrapbooking stores.

Files: Right click the file below and choose "Save target as." Open the file in CorelDraw 8 or later.

The Epilog system used for this project was a 50-watt Helix

First, open the file sc_halloween_invite.cdr .
Insert a black foamie sticky sheet in the upper
left corner of the machine.
Select the background layer and bats and send only that job to the laser.
Perform the same steps with each of the layers.

You'll want to consult your owner's manual for specific settings, but on a 50-watt Helix, we used the following settings:

Engraving:
100% speed
15% power

Foam cutting:
60% speed
30% power
500 frequency

Paper cutting:
70% speed
20% power
500 frequency

When you have all of the pieces cut and engraved, it's time to assemble the invitation. You should have the following:

Black foam background
Orange foam pumpkin cut out
Two orange foam bat cut outs
Three black foam bat cut outs
Engraved/cut cardstock invitation

Begin by removing the adhesive back of the orange foam cut out. Then apply it to the front of the black cut out. Don't forget to add the orange bats to the front of the invitation.

Next, adhere the black foam bats onto the engraved invitation.

Finally, remove the adhesive back from the black foam cut out, attach the invitation and you've got a fun and festive way to celebrate our favorite spooky holiday.
