Sample Club: Graduation Hat Decoration

What better way to celebrate the season of graduation than with a special plaque to keep the the moment alive. Engrave, etch or add foil to the piece to add to it. Give one to every graduate as a keepsake from the highschool. The sky is the limit with this piece.

Materials:

  • Alder wood
  • Maple wood
  • Walnut wood


 


Files: Right click the file below and choose "Save target as." Open the file in CorelDraw 8 or later.

  1) This first layer is the bottom layer and will be cut out of walnut. Set the page size in your graphic program to be the same as the piece of walnut you will be cutting from. Insert this part of the graphic on the page and set the laser to cut.

  2) The next piece is the tassle and high school or college name and year. Set up your page size to the size of the piece of maple and cut it out.

The final piece is made out of alder. This piece will have an engraved name and cut out high school and year to match the above.

Set the print driver to cut and engrave. Cut out the outlines of each piece, then engrave the name into it.
