Sample Club: The Fire Torch Mag-LITE Flashlight

Materials:

• 1 Mag-LITE flashlight
• Epilog Rotary Attachment
• A Level

Files: Right click the file below and choose "Save target as." Open the file in CorelDraw 8 or later.

The Epilog system used for this project was a 35 watt Mini 18.

• First open the flames.cdr file, then choose Print.
• Under Job Type choose Raster.
• Turn on the auto focus feature.
• Next set the horizontal width to 1.75 inches and the vertical length to 7.065 inches.
• Set the raster engraving setting to:
  Speed: 100%
  Power: 90%
• Then send the file to the laser.
• Place the flashlight onto the Rotary Attachment, with the head or bulb end on the left. Note: Make sure to level the flashlight using a level.
• Then press GO!

The next part to engrave is the handle of the The Torch Flashlight.

• First open the flash_light.cdr, then choose Print.
• Under Job Type choose Raster.
• Turn on the auto focus feature.
• Set the horizontal length to 10.75 inches and the vertical length to 8.5 inches.
• Set the raster engraving settings to: Speed: 100%
  Power: 90%
• Then send the file to the laser.
• Note: Some disassembly is required for this step. Remove the head of the flashlight by unscrewing it. Then also unscrew and remove the light bulb.
• Place the flash light on the Rotary Attachment, making sure to use a level, with the unscrewed head to the left.
• Then press GO!
  

Note: You won't need the Rotary Attachment for this step.

The final step is to engrave the skull graphic on to the end of the flashlight.

• Open the skull.cdr file and choose Print.
• Under Job Type choose Raster.
• Turn on the auto focus feature.
• Set the horizontal and vertical length to 1.5 inches.
• Set the raster engraving settings to: Speed: 100%
  Power: 90%
• Then send the file to the laser.
• Note: Some disassembly is required for this step. Unscrew and remove the end piece.
• Place the end piece into your Epilog laser system.
• Then press GO!

And there you have it, your very own Fire Torch Mag-LITE Flashlight!

Create your own variations by adding customized graphics, using different color Mag-LITE flashlights, or even different styles of flash lights.

Note: If you use a different flashlight brand or different style flashlight the files will have to be reconfigured for your flashlight.
