The Epilog system used for this project was a 35 watt Mini 24.
The colorado3d.cdr file contains all the cut and engraved pieces necessary for your 3d layered sample, so be sure to click the combined mode button in the driver window.
Click the auto focus box.
Next Set the horizontal width to 24 inches and the vertical length to 12 inches.
Set the raster engraving setting to:
Speed: 50%
Power: 80%
Set the vector cutting settings to:
Speed: 3%
Power: 100%
Frequency: 5000
Then send the file to the laser.
Notes:
When engraving and cutting acrylic, it is a good idea to mask off the top side to prevent the smoke and acrylic dust from sticking to the surface of the acrylic. Use a semi-tacky masking tape. |
