Sample Club: Laser Cut Birdhouse

Add life to your backyard with this easy to assemble bird home. Your backyard will have a pair of nesting birds in no time, providing you ample bird watching opportunities.

You can hang the bird home from a tree, mount it to a fence, or place it on the top of a pole in the center of your yard.

To create your own unique bird home, paint the entire bird home the colors of your choosing. Adding paint to your bird home will also give it extra durability for those rainy days.

Materials:

  • 2 pieces of 1/4" thick 24" x 4" basswood or wood of your choosing.
  • Wood Glue

Files: Right click the file below and choose "Save target as." Open the file in CorelDraw 8 or later.

  3)

After the laser is finished engraving and cutting, use the color coded illustration to the right, along with your wood glue, to piece together the spring time bird home.

Notes:
If you are using unfinished wood, mask off the top side to prevent the smoke from staining the surface of the wood.

When creating a painted version of the bird home, it might be a good idea to paint the wood before engraving and cutting with your laser system.
