Epilog Laser, the leading producer CO2 and fiber laser systems, today announced the company would participate as both a sponsor and exhibitor at the upcoming Maker Faire in San Mateo, Calif., May 30 and 31.
Located in the Show Barn with many other hands-on exhibitors, Epilog will be doing custom engravings as well as demonstrating the highly-popular Zing 24 Laser, the newest addition to the company’s entry-level line of systems suited for makers of all kinds.
“The Zing 24 Laser is perfect for all kinds of makers,” said Mike Dean, director of sales and marketing for Epilog. “Application possibilities are virtually limitless. Just like the larger machines in our Elite Series, the Zing 24 is capable of cutting and engraving wood, acrylic, plastic, leather, cork, Corian, glass, treated metals and more.”

Returning this year will be Epilog’s engraving station, where attendees can have their personal gadgets customized with various designs or text.
“People can select from a list of pre-designed artwork or get their initials engraved on whatever they’d like – last year iPods, iPhones and portable game consoles were the most popular engraving items,” Dean said.
It’s a great opportunity for attendees to see just how easy it is to set up art work and send the job to the laser. Maker Faire has proven to be an excellent venue for Epilog to demonstrate our equipment to an extremely creative and tech-savvy audience that can come up with some very innovative projects.”
Attendees are invited to stop by the Show Barn during normal show hours on May 30 and 31 to have items engraved and to see the Zing 24.
