Epilog Laser Donates Laser System for Scholarship Program

Golden, CO – May 16, 2005: The 2005 Awards and Recognition Association's (ARA) International Awards Market was highlighted by a special Silent Auction to benefit the Awards & Recognition Industry Educational Foundation (ARIEF). The foundation uses the funds raised by the auction to create scholarships for five students who are seeking their undergraduate degrees. ARIEF auctioned off over thirty exciting products for the awards industry, along with an Epilog Mini CO2 laser system donated by Epilog Laser as the feature item. “Epilog's donation of the laser engraving machine was perhaps the crown jewel of the auction this year,” states Dave Bergeson, executive director of the ARA.

Epilog saw this as a unique opportunity to show its true commitment and dedication to its customers and the CO2 laser community. “ARIEF is an important part of the awards industry,” said James Stanaway, director of marketing at Epilog Laser. “We appreciate all of the hard work that is put into providing educational opportunities within the awards industry and wanted to be able to provide a way to give back to the organization.”

ARIEF was started in 2002 by the Awards and Recognition Association's board members and is a not-for-profit organization that provides members and affiliates assistance with educational needs through scholarships. Scholarship winners are picked by submitting current grades and an essay on what recognition means to them. If chosen, the student receives a $1,000 scholarship.
