Golden, Colo. – (March 3, 2011)
Epilog Laser today announced the company will be joining the fall workshop lineup at Anderson Ranch, a premier facility for artists of all skill levels. Technology & Art: Creating with Lasers teaches students the basics of designing with a laser using an Epilog Laser system and a variety of materials. The workshop instructor is Ben Sieber, senior graphic designer for Epilog.
As the Senior Graphic Designer at Epilog, Sieber is constantly seeking out creative, new uses for the laser. Having received his associates degree in fine arts from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, and a Bachelor of Arts in graphic design from the Art Institute of Colorado, Sieber brings the artistic and technological background that allows students to truly appreciate the laser capabilities.
“We’re seeing a huge increase in laser usage among artists of all varieties,” Sieber said, “and we’re thrilled to be part of the education process in this growing area. I’m excited to help students understand our laser technology, the projects they’re able to create, and the materials they’re able to use to bring their creative multimedia visions to life.” |

Through classroom instruction and hands-on demonstration, students will learn a variety of laser techniques on a variety of materials including wood, acrylic, fabrics and more. The workshop runs from Aug 15 – Aug 19 at the Anderson Ranch facility, near Aspen, CO. Due to the hands-on nature of the course and personal attention given to students, enrollment is limited to ten students. The tuition/studio fee for the week is $1,000 and includes the five-day workshop and all materials. The fee does not include housing/meal plans.
