Puzzle Pieces Mystery Box

Submitted by: Christina Winterburn

Description: This crafty mystery box can give us all a flashback to our youth--whether it reminds you of making beaded bracelets at summer camp or working for hours to figure out that elusive Rubix Cube! The beaded puzzle pieces will only fit together if they are placed in a certain order so the biggest mystery is, do you think you could solve the puzzle and put together the Puzzle Pieces Mystery Box?

Just like JJ Abrams, the creator of the Puzzle Pieces Mystery Box was inspired by an intriguing box she had as a child. Read her description below:

"I made my mystery box out of perler fused beads. I started with a basic pattern inspired by a puzzle box I had as a kid which I turned into a bead pattern.

I made each individual side with a single layer of different color bead around the edges, so that I could cut it away for a perfectly flat edge afterwards. This makes the pieces fit together easier.

Once complete, the box will only fit together in a certain order."

Ready to enter your Mystery Box?

Hurry up! You've got until September 30, 2009.

The grand prize winner receives a laser engraved iPod Touch, and will be selected by Epilog Laser and GeekDad and announced October 6, 2009.
