Golden, Colo. – (Jan. 4, 2010 ) Epilog Laser is proud to announce the tenth anniversary of Class Act Engraving, the exclusive distributor of Epilog Laser systems in upstate New York, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
A family-owned business, Class Act Engraving, Akron, N.Y., opened its doors in 1975 and is now run by Jeff Aichinger, the son of original owners John and Anne Aichinger.
“We started this business in the mid-1970s and made it a point to keep up with technological advancements that were to come,” Aichinger said. “From our first rotary engraver, to computer-driven engraving systems, to CO2 and fiber laser systems, we knew we’d only be as successful as the technology we embraced.”
Class Act incorporated an Epilog Eclipse system in the mid-1990s and was impressed with the ease-of-use and the results produced by the machine.
“It was years after purchasing our first system that we learned of a distribution opportunity with Epilog,” Aichinger said. “We were excited about the opportunity to start a relationship with the company and officially became Epilog distributors in 2000.”

Aichinger attributes much of the company’s success not only to providing an array of laser engraving systems and accessories, but also word-of-mouth about his customers and their innovative uses with the laser.
“The majority of laser buyers are those wanting to start a business,” Aichinger said. “Entrepreneurs have made up a major portion of my customer base for years.”
