Glass Etching and Engraving with a Laser
Glass engraving and etching with a CO2 laser produces a beautiful frosted effect, allowing you to etch custom logos and designs on glass. Logos, text (and just about anything else!) stands out even more as the laser creates a beautiful, frosted effect that makes your engraved design really stand out against the glass background.

How do you etch round objects on the laser?
Epilog's Rotary Attachment allows you to easily set up different sizes of glasses, mugs, vases and wine bottles for engraving. It will turn the piece as the laser etches your pattern. No special measurements are required to create these custom etchings. |

How deep will the laser etch?
With a laser you can create a very light etch. This is not sandblasting and you won't achieve that depth, but you can quickly create very elaborate designs with a laser that is lightly etched into the glass. It's a unique look that many people prefer to sandblasting. |

Do I have to mask the glass before engraving?
Unlike sandblasting, with a laser you are only engraving where you tell the laser beam to fire, so there is no masking required. |

Can I use the laser to cut a mask on glass before sandblasting?
Yes, many of our customers use laserable masks that are applied directly to the glass, cut with the laser, then weeded away before sandblasting. This allows you to create the most intricate deep glass etchings possible. |

How much do laser systems cost?
With prices starting at $7,995 (US Price Only) for a complete laser system, the price is relatively low for such a versatile piece of equipment. You can even lease-to-own the lasers for about $150 a month (with approved credit). That's a payment that doesn't take a lot of engraving to cover! |
