OpenArc™ Software Interface
Epilog's FiberMark laser series uses our exclusive OpenArc™ Software interface. This means users can "print" directly from their computer to the laser using almost any graphic design or CAD software package.
Operators simply import their artwork (barcodes, serial numbers, logos, etc.) using the design program of their choice, such as Adobe PhotoShop, CorelDRAW, AutoCAD, BarTender, etc. and then send the job to the laser.
Epilog has been utilizing the OpenArc Software interface for over 20 years in our CO2 laser systems, and we were the first to bring this time-saving feature to fiber laser marking systems.
Why does this matter to you?
Since most of today’s fiber systems are controlled by proprietary design software and a PC, the most challenging and time consuming task is not learning to operate the laser, but rather the proprietary design software that comes with it.
Unlike CO2 laser engraving systems, where open-software compatibility is common, it’s an extremely unique characteristic among fiber laser systems. The majority of fiber laser manufacturers require the use of proprietary software to effectively run the equipment. |
