Epilog Laser Educational Clinics
Texas Open House Presented by Engraving Concepts
Visit the offices of Engraving Concepts every second Monday or third Saturday of the month for special open house activities. On Saturday you can visit the showroom to ask questions, visit with staff and find some new ideas. On the second Monday of the month Engraving Concepts also hosts a special Users' Clinic and Corel Basics Seminar.
2nd Monday of the Month
9 am -12 pm: Corel Basics Seminar ($40)
This monthly clinic covers the basic fundamentals of CorelDRAW and how its tools relate to laser and mechanical engraving equipment. Taught by Randy Allen, he'll cover basic topics, including workspace management, layout creation, importing graphic formats, manipulating photographs and more. Register now and we'll contact you about payment.
1 pm - 3 pm: The Corel and Laser Users' Clinic (no charge)
The Corel and Laser Users' Clinic is a free opportunity to participate in an open-format Q&A session. If there are no questions from the floor, your instructor, Randy Allen, will cover basics of maintenance, layout creation, and working with fixtures and jigs.
3 pm - 5 pm: Open House

3rd Saturday of the Month
On the third Saturday of each month, stop by our offices from 10 am - 2 pm to see the laser in action, ask questions and see what's new. To let us know how many to expect, please fill out the registration form.
Epilog Laser Clinics featuring LaserBIts
Featuring Mike Dean of Epilog Laser and Mike Fruciano of LaserBits, these exciting clinics are ideal for both beginner and advanced learners. They are designed with a project oriented feel that is perfect for any laser user, or anyone interested in lasers.
The clinics are broken up into two sessions - the first four-hour session on Friday will cover the basics of laser engraving (laser system components, laser terminology, material overview and CorelDRAW for lasers), while the second session on Saturday covers decorating with a laser and advanced laser techniques.
ARA certification enrollees who attend Epilog Laser clinics, including those held in conjunction with LaserBits, and any others including educational sessions presented by Mike Dean are eligible for up to .8 ARA CEU credits.

Marc Adams Woodworking School Courses Featuring Mike Dean
Mike Dean, a.k.a "Mr. Epilog" will be teaching two courses in August at the Marc Adams School of Woodworking.
August 24 - Introduction to Laser engraving & Cutting will cover the common types of lasers and how they are used in the wood working arena. Students will learn about different operating modes, how much laser power is needed for certain jobs, laser safety and much more. Visit this page for more information, time, cost, tool list, etc.
August 25 - Using a CO2 Laser System will get into the specifics of how to create artwork using CorelDRAW and how to properly engrave photos. Students will learn about different kinds of artwork: text, clipart, grayscale images, photos, bitmaps, and different file types.
